Long Legged Girl: Hotpants and Shorts!

Hot Pants 1970´s

Raquel Welch, Catherine Bach, Brigitte Bardot

Mini shorts and mainly Hotpants were very popular in the 70´s.

The "hotpants" were very brief and usually tight-fitting sexy shorts that honestly, didn´t cover much and  were matched especially with tops and high tight boots. Quite a provocative picture for the 70´s, if you ask me. I believe the word: "hot" was perfectly put cause those pants were on fire. But let´s face it, you obviously needed to have a great behind to wear these kind of pants ;)

Back then, Catherine Bach from the American television series, "The Dukes of Hazzard" was a huge fan of the hotpants but nowadays, i always think of Chloe Sevigny when it comes to extra minishorts. The girl loves to wear those with anything. Minishorts are her style.

Kate Moss
is another one that loves shorts and likes to wear them especially with vests.
Personally, i like shorts with black tights like Zooey Deschanel in the picture below. Hotpants are too much for me.

Simple Never Fades...

Goldie Hawn, Twiggy, Catherine Deneuve

Twiggy

Don´t you just love simple dresses?

Sometimes you wanna be nicely dressed but you need simplicity more than anything. You want to remain feminine but you don´t expect to be sexy. You want to be comfortable but still a lady.

The answer to that is a simple loose dress.

Quoting Coco Chanel, "Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance".

Simplicity doesn´t necessarily mean plain or boring and these kind of dresses are the perfect choice. Class is the important touch here. You can´t buy that or find it in any luxury dress but in the woman wearing any dress which actually might be... a simple one.

Michelle Williams, Zooey Deschanel, Sienna Miller

These dresses reminded me of Mia Farrow´s look back in the 60´s. Mainly the one of Michelle Williams. Besides, she kind of looks like her with the short hair.

Their Glamorous Majesties Style

“Fashion fades, only style remains the same.”

                                      - Coco Chanel

Who said that women were the only fashion icons in the

60´s and 70´s?

Men had their unique awesome styles too, back then.

Fashion might have faded but their style is truly unforgettable...
